The Field Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the training initiatives for TransEnterix customers in the field. This consists of executing company training programs for surgeons and other hospital staff and supporting the setup of the Senhance system at customer sites and providing case support during the initial customer start-up phase.  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for executing training initiatives at customer sites, clinical leadership sites, and mobile events.
  • Conduct training for surgeons and surgical staff at customer sites
  • Provide continuing education of hospital surgical teams with goal of independent utilization of Senhance
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the set-up, operation, troubleshooting and support of the Senhance       
  • Provide technical support for Senhance clinical installations
  • Assist in launching new programs in assigned accounts by driving execution of a clinical development plan to successfully begin clinical utilization
  • Act as the clinical lead for customer sites, providing support during surgery after the initial training program and until  proficiency and independence of surgical staff is achieved
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the set-up, operation, troubleshooting and support of the Senhance robotic surgical system during clinical use.  
  • Responsible for launching new clinical programs in hospitals in the territory that acquire a Senhance robotic surgical system,
  • Drive the execution of a clinical development plan to successfully begin clinical utilization.
  • Conduct surgeon and staff in-services on any new product updates to Senhance System
  • Assist in management of all required training documentation
  • Support prospective customer site visits (KCVs) as needed
  • All Other Essential Duties as directed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree, Nursing degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 3-5 years relevant work experience; either supporting medical device sales in the operating room environment, working in a surgical training environment, or as an operating room staff member in a clinical setting.
  • Experience in laparoscopic surgery required
  • Experience in minimally invasive general surgery and gynecology preferred
